Introduction:
Mominoki Hotel Hakuba is the first hotel in Hakuba first opened in 1976. It is conveniently located at the entrance to the biggest ski resort in Hakuba, Happo-one, with only a 3 min. walk to the ski lift system. There is also a shuttle bus service taking you to the lift system within 5 min (in front of the Tokyu Hotel).
The hotel is also located in the village of Hakuba, where you can find numerous restaurants, open air hot springs and shops. The nightlife is also tempting here, with many local Japanese Izakaya bars and western style pubs which makes the after ski unforgettable.
Rooms:
The hotel has a total of 75 rooms located on 3 floors. 50 of the rooms are western style standard rooms which are 22-28 sqm in size and can accommodate on only 2 people. If you are 3 or 4 people staying in the same room, you are automatically upgraded to a deluxe room which is 33-38 sqm in size. They also have a few Japanese style rooms, with tatami mats and Japanese style beds.
All the rooms are clean, but the furniture is a bit old. All rooms feature a nice balcony with chairs. Bathrooms are a bit small, but you get all amenities like toothbrush, shampoo and hair dryer. All rooms also have internet, mini bar and satellite television.
Facilities:
The hotel is built in alpine style. As soon as you enter the lobby, it is like stepping into a cozy living room. There are big comfortable sofas with huge pillows around the stone fireplace.
The hotel has one restaurant, which is buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. The cosine is both Japanese and western style, with many flavors from the regional kitchen.
After a long day of skiing, why not hop into their hot spring? The hotel has both out- and indoor natural hot spring where you can relax your muscles in the evenings. There is also a sauna bath.
Mominoki Hotel has made it convenient for skiers, with ski lockers and the washer/dryer facilities are free to use at any time.
